It Takes a Monster (a Serialized Crime Novel)
Synopsis:
Very few people know Monroe "Monster" Alexandrov's real name. There's a very good reason for that. He kills people. He robs people. He hurts people. He's been doing it most of his life. Monster is a natural force of destruction, efficient and savage, and motivated by nothing more than a base need to damage something. That's what led him to the military and to prison, and then to becoming one of the most terrifying professionals east of the Mississippi.
While hiding in his latest identity and working on false papers as a Pathology Assistant at the Shelby County Forensics Resource Center, a body arrives. A corpse Monster has a connection to. It isn't the first victim of a brutal and meticulous serial killer, and Monster knows it won't be the last. Now, for the first time in a long time, things have become personal. To dirty up the situation even more, some enemies of his from up north have arrived in town, because you can't be in this business without crushing a few feet. But, no one really knows what Monster's capable of when things go south, and soon there will be carnage. Because, in the end, when facing down hired guns and a vicious psychopath, it doesn't take a hero. No, sometimes it takes a monster.
